AcroYoga blends the spiritual wisdom of yoga, the loving kindness of Thai massage, and the dynamic power of Acrobatics. These three ancient lineages form this practice that cultivates trust, connection and playfulness. There are 7 main elements that make up the practice: circle ceremony, asana, partner flow, Thai massage, therapeutic flying, inversions & spotting, and partner acrobatics. Our highest aim is to bring individuals into a state of union with themselves, with each other, and with the divine. From this place of mutual support the true self can be realized, celebrated and shared for the benefit of all. Mary also specializes in teaching Restorative Yoga, a deeply restful, healing practice, and ISHTA, an eclectic Yoga style created by Alan Finger drawing upon Hatha, Tantra, and Ayurveda, that emphasizes the individual's needs, from pranayama to vinyasa to meditation

Mary Aranas is E-RYT 500-hour certified in ISHTA Yoga, and has taught full-time since 2002. With a theater, dance, and martial arts background, Mary's Vinyasa style is flowing.  Her Restoratives are a special treat.  Infusing Chakra exploration in her teaching, Mary honors diverse lineages, with joy and healing as her guiding principles.  In her classes Mary uses yantra, mantra, meditation, pranayama and vinyasa, grounding her students strongly in alignment, then releasing them into their power, freedom and beauty.  Her Restorative classes combine aromatherapy, music, and healing touch.  In 2008, Mary became one of only 125 certified AcroYoga® teachers worldwide.  Her Thai massage practice and AcroYoga® performance partnerships are an endless source of inspiration.  Mary lives in New York city with her actor husband and son.

Mary Aranas is 500-hour E-RYT ISHTA trained, certified by Alan Finger in 2002.  Since then, Mary has taught Yoga full-time, in privates, classes. retreats, workshops.  In 2008, Mary was AcroYoga® certified by co-founders Jason Nemer and Jenny Sauer-Klein.  And in 2009, Mary received Thai Yoga Massage certification from Jennifer Yarro’s New England School of Thai Yoga.  Mary lives in NYC with her son Raphael and husband Raul, and her ever-expanding, joyfully infinite yogic family.
