Soul Dancing is a movement ritual that allows you to release the mover, shaker or dancer behind your veil! Whether you dance secretly when no one else is watching, only out at clubs or are a dedicated, trained dancer this is the class for you to release any inhibitions in a fun, safe and nurturing atmosphere. SOUL DANCING invites you to conjure your dreams, ignite your confidence, melt the walls that block you & release your spirit. Take your bliss out into the world and let it fly….

Lauren Haze believes there is a mover, shaker or dancer in everyone just waiting to be released. Whether it is released through dance, pilates, drumming or bodywork, she wants you to feel better in your body on the planet!

A native of Red Bank, NJ, Lauren began dancing at an early age, traveling to NYC each weekend for lessons. She received her BFA at Boston Conservatory of Music, in dance and education. Returning to NY, she was awarded a scholarship to the Alvin Ailey Dance Center and soon became a member of the Ailey Repertory Ensemble. Lauren credits Mr. Ailey for being the kind of director that influenced her love of helping people open up to their highest self and movement potential at every level. Lauren has traveled and performed extensively enjoying and learning the different rhythms and beats other cultures live by.

The desire to leave the concrete of NY brought Lauren to Los Angeles. Dance expanded to acting, cardio fitness, choreography and healing therapies. The concept of ” performing arts as healing arts”, has guided Lauren on a diverse journey. She has directed children in musical theatre at YADA, and taught creative movement and hatha yoga to “at risk youth” in an after school girls program in West Covina. Lauren was part of Mentorship 2000, a program combining spoken word/ conflict resolution (Ojai Foundation Counsil training) for juvenile offenders at Central Juvenile Hall. “White Chocolate”, a one-woman show on tolerance written and performed by Lauren, was presented at many venues, including Marlboro High School, Women in Theatre and the LA Women’s Theatre Festival.

As a certified Pilates instructor and healthcare practitioner, Lauren combines her training in cranio-sacral therapy (Upledger Institute/Polarity Healing Arts), massage (Ben Benjamin in NY, IPSB-CA), Reiki, energy balancing and creative movement in a private practice for integral healing called the Priestess Project.
