Born and raised in New York City, ki power vinyasa creator Isauro Fernandez practiced law for 20 years before experiencing the transformational effects of yoga. His commitment and passion for yoga began with martial arts, which he began studying at age six. He holds black belts in Judo and Tae Kwon Do and upon returning from the World Masters Tournament in Tokyo, Japan suffering from a shoulder injury, he discovered yoga and it became a life-changing habit that he practiced on a daily basis.

After reaching a deeper level with his yoga practice, Isauro began teaching regularly and later created and trademarked ki power vinyasa, which fused his two passions – the movement and breath of Vinyasa Yoga with the grace, focus and physical intensity of martial arts. In each class, he challenges his students to embark on a journey of personal development to uncover their authenticity through a powerful blend of sweat, strength and spirit. Through this, Isauro seeks to connect students with their ki – their life force, authentic self and essential energies.
