Imagine a bow ready to shoot an arrow, and imagine that the bow string is tight and not very flexible, when pulled back to shoot the string will most likely break. Now picture the bow string is only a little flexible, you could pull back the arrow only halfway, the arrow would probably shoot and it may even hit the target; but it would not have the force or strength necessary for a bull’s eye. Now, picture the perfect bow string and arrow, you load and pull the arrow way back behind your ear, the string has great strength and stretch and when you release, the force is extraordinary, the power is perfect and the speed reaches its capability, BULL’S EYE. Gwen's unique approach to yoga applies this thinking to the athletes’ muscles. Gwen addresses all these needs of all athletes into a carefully choreographed yoga flow series’, as well as the needs of every player and every position, in every sport.

Gwen Lawrence has been a practicing fitness professional since 1990. Her current practice includes private yoga training, class instruction and her sport-specific Power Yoga for Sports training program www.poweryogaforsports.com. Gwen’s unique combination of dance, massage and yoga training experience, coupled with her extensive knowledge of anatomy,and nutrition, provide her clients, and athletes with overwhelming benefits. Gwen is the yoga instructor for several New York Yankees baseball players, team yoga instructor for the New York Giants, New York Knicks, New York Red Bulls, New York Rangers, several major college teams,including Yale and UNC, and  many youth teams in a variety of sports. She is also the official spokesperson for AFRIN PureSea, and ambassador for Lululemon, her writing appears in Men's Health, Women's Health and shape.com.  She has made appearances on NBC TODAY show and many TV news and radio shows. Gwen also owns her own Yoga school where she trains people to teach the power yoga for sports system.
